British-born and Melbourne-based, Clara Yates has spent close to two decades behind the decks, establishing a career that moves between nightlife, private events and the international electronic music scene.
Her musical range extends across R&B, Hip Hop, Disco, House and Trance — shaped by years of playing to different rooms, audiences and eras of music. Alongside her work as a DJ, Clara is an accomplished vocalist and songwriter, with collaborations spanning some of the most recognised names in international trance, including Giuseppe Ottaviani, Richard Durand, RAM, Talla 2XLC, ReOrder, Darren Porter, Ferry Tayle and Ashley Wallbridge.
In 2020, Clara was nominated for Female Trance Artist at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami, placing her alongside Christina Novelli, Alessandra Roncone, Maria Healy and Nifra.
Her work behind the decks is equally extensive. Clara has opened for international artists including Mýa, Backstreet Boys, Craig David, Tyga, Ginuwine and Jay Sean, while her event portfolio includes Melbourne Fashion Week, L’Oréal Fashion Week, Dom Pérignon, Heineken and Veuve Clicquot.
